had enamored Nick from the beginning. His curiosity was stemmed more of who the host was then why the party was being thrown. "There was music from my neighbor's house through the summer nights." (Fitzgerald 43). It had become the norm, "...weekends his Rolls-Royce became an omnibus bearing parties to and from the city, between nine in the morning and long past midnight." (Fitz 43). But even Nick, his closest neighbor doesn't know anything about Gatsby; just that he has this lavish lifestyle that never seems to rest. Nick doesn't know what to make of Gatsby, but views him as a man of mystery, and man like no other.
