On top of peak hours, one might be surprising that the number of traffic incidents soar even higher at midnight than in daytime. The phenomenon is nothing to sneeze at if we have noticed what the pie chart in Figure 2 reveals. Drivers under 21 have 49 percent of the pie, which is nearly half of the total incidents and almost twice as many cases as middle-aged drivers.

In this sense, the statistics might have explained why the number of traffic incidents spike during 22:00 to 2:00. Although the traffic flow is expected to be lower at night, the risk of roadway jeopardy still exists since young adults enjoy speed driving and night life. Meanwhile, as an adolescent boy or girl is reaching the age of majority, it is clear that most of them are newly-licensed drivers.
