However, in high-service industries, such as the travel industry, major companies have been reluctant to move in the direction of internet operations. These companies have fallen prey to the "All or nothing" perspective of the internet. As the Internet came to the consumer marketplace, companies believed that the Internet could be a goose that laid a golden egg. The Internet could solve all their business problems, enable instant customer response and service, and drop operation overhead costs to next to nothing. Businesses which approached the net with this assumption soon discovered that the internet is in unsuited to rely upon for 100% of a business's operations.
