I am writing to request approval for my transfer to the College of Business at your university. I am currently in my second year of study at the East Los Angeles Community College, with a major of Business and currently hold a 3.2 GPA. I would like to complete my studies at your university beginning in the fall of the academic year 2003.

My father immigrated to the United States nine years ago. Two years later, my mother joined him, and I followed a year later. Having been in the United States for six years, I have seen the opportunities for a self-driven, successful businessman like my father, and have watched as his successes grew. I can only hope to one day make him proud by following his lessons in both business and life. I feel that attending your school with a major in business can help me to achieve that goal.
