After watching "Wall Street (1987)" I learned of several dilemmas stockbrokers, such as Bud Fox and Gordon Gekko, encounter in the pursuit of wealth.

First, Bud was faced with the difficult dilemma of whether he should do what's best for his career or what's best for his father. Bud's father worked his entire life for a small airline company, but Bud's Boss, Gordon Gekko, desired to take over the airline and sell it off (leaving Bud's father and many others out of work). The take away from this, therefore, is that stockbrokers are constantly faced with decisions of morality.

This film, "Wall Street," which was released in 1987, is about a Wall Street stockbroker named Bud Fox, who is wants nothing more than to become rich like his hero, a stock trader and corporate thief named Gordon Gekko, which is Michael Douglas's character. He essentially buys up companies who are struggling financially, breaks them up and sells their parts at a strong profit. Gekko is driven off GREED; pure and simple. In one particular scene, he appears at the annual shareholders' meeting being held by a company called, Teldar Paper, which is as huge paper company that Gekko wants to buy, forcing out all of their management. It is there that he delivers the speech that includes the movie's most famous line. "Greed," he tells the shareholders of Teldar, "is good."

Bud tries to meet with Gekko for several weeks and finally gets the opportunity to start working him ...
