This book was an interesting book to read, because it showed many different views that went on during this time period. There are many things wrong with the book, which makes the book a terrible book to read. To begin with the book is biased to no end against the United States, make the United States look very bad, as if we never helped out a country before. Secondly the book is awful because it promotes communism, which we all know will end up corrupting the country after a small period of time goes by. promoted communism all throughout the book, when her parents went out to go picket, they were picketing for communism. A society with communism is a corrupt society. Communism is not good at all because it doesn’t promote hard working people it make people want to do the minimum amount of work because they know they are going to be given a secure amount of money every month. Another thing that really annoyed me during the duration of the book was that the voice and tone of the book was terrible, it sounded as if a 10 year old wrote the book, if she wrote the book while she is 4 than she should write the book as if she is 40.
