Where Did Satan Come From

Satan was created by God, but not as an evil being. God does not create anything evil. Satan was created, like all of God's created creatures, with a purpose and that purpose was to accomplish GOOD, not evil. Satan choose for himself to do evil.

The best information we have about Satan is found in the book of Revelation.

Rev. 12:7-9 (NAS'95)

7* And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. One caution here. We do not have all of the facts of the event revealed to us in Revelation 12. We are curious about many of the details. Some have turned to other passages of Scripture in an effort to find additional information. One passage that is often used out of context in this regard is:
