I think people take drugs because they want to change something about their lives, they also take drugs to fit in, or to escape or relax, they want to relieve boredom, and they want to act like there grown up, they rebel or simply try them as an experiment, I also think people take drugs because they think drugs are a solution, but eventually, the drugs become the problem.

taking over his life, and Tommy the only reason he uses drugs now is because he likes what they do to his brain, he even overdosed a couple months ago from taking drugs and almost died but that doesn't stop him from taking them today, he keeps telling family that he feels like he got pleased when taking them, and he said it's like smoking cigarettes once you start you can't stop, and that's what he feels like when he is taking the drugs to.
