Black Youth Gangs in Toronto

A 10 page paper. On Boxing Day, 2005), a 15-year-old innocent bystander was “gunned down during a gang shootout,” while shopping on a major downtown street of Toronto (Frum, 2006, p. 12). As this suggests, Toronto has a problem with youth gang generated violence (Frum, 2006). While the ethnic origin and demographics of Toronto’s youth gangs is not known precisely, there are estimates that youth of Jamaican extraction may make up as much as 80 percent of the membership (Frum, 2006). The following examination of social issue focuses specifically on Toronto, the problem; theoretical speculation on the relationship between gang membership and deviant behavior and what is being done. Brian Mulroney and the "Free Trade Deal"

open invitation to loot the nation's resources and
its till of everything from our water to our
culture, along with eviscerating medicare." This

by Mulroney's original push of the Free Trade
Agreement, as well as projections for its future.
