Gays/Lesbian Perception Within Minority Groups And Jewish Stereotypes Circa World War II
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. Gay and lesbian members of minority groups receive the same level of disdain as they do from those outside their subpopulation. Indeed, one would expect gays and lesbians to be supported within their particular minority community, however, just because someone is Latino, black or Asian does not automatically mean he or she will embrace anymore social tolerance than anyone else. The ways in which Jews were stereotyped by the German people during the period before World War II are well documented by illustrating how at the time of World War I, totalitarianism was taking a stronghold upon Europe institutions, while the Great Depression proved to threaten the very character and destiny of Western civilization. Bibliography lists 14 sources.

Gloria Anzaldua
[ send me this paper ]
A 10 page research paper that discusses the fascinating career of this extraordinary writer. The life of Gloria Evangelina Anzaldua (1942-2004) was remarkable, as she was a "poet, thinker and activist," who death robbed the world far too soon of a vibrant intellect and a compelling writer (Oboler 296). Anzaldua will be remember as a feminist and also as a lesbian who wrote compelling about gay rights and argued persuasively for toleration and love. However, among her many accomplishments, her contribution to the "collective examination of the tenuous location of Latinas and Latinos within the contours" of American culture is perhaps where she will be remembered best. Bibliography lists 14 sources.

Group Counseling For The HIV/AIDS Population
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. The HIV/AIDS population faces
considerably more challenges than other members of society, in that they have to struggle just to achieve a modicum of acceptance. Their societal counterparts, who are frequently ignorant to deeper issues surrounding the disease, often unknowingly make them feel inadequate and worthless when it
comes their life choices. Incorporating group counseling as a means by which to overcome the not-so-invisible boundaries that intrude upon an individual's right to exist is a most effective way to address the inherent fear, isolation and depression associated with HIV/AIDS, as well as win back a person's sense of self. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
