The Iran Hostage Crisis will remain a thorn in former President Jimmy Carter's proverbial side. Although Carter attempted to return the hostages to freedom, he was thwarted. The president was unable to deal effectively with such a situation, and the United States was unforgiving, thus he was not reelected president. The background for this work of fiction is the famous and controversial case of the Rosenbergs, tried, convicted and executed for conspiracy to commit espionage.

illustrating aspects of Nixon's character which were not known to many. The authors
discuss Nixon's ability to present himself as incredibly mannerly and sophisticated in
public, smoothly talking his way into, or out of, anything it seems. But at the same time he
was a man with another side that was not so polite nor sophisticated. No additional
