Humanity has long used music as an expressional art form to find beauty, attain a higher level of meaning, and better understand culture. The Beatle's, a famous pop group from England, and other bands including ABBA, and the Rolling Stones infected the term pop music with authenticity and enabled an expansion of endless possibilities for popular music. Tik Tok, released in late 2009 is the longest running number one debut single by a female, Kesha Rose Sebert, in over 30 years ("Kesha: I don't," 2010). This song was written to entertain mainly but also to depict how Kesha has lived out her everyday life in the past four years. The underlying concern with the song coupled with its video is the type of example or messages that are being sent to its main viewers, teens, and the effect it has on the future actions of those listeners.
