As a few may recall from my other topic, a pretty healthy conversation regarding the age limit for sexual consent arose. Now its hardly fair to assume that at age 18 (or whatever age limit there is) one gains a magical maturity and is "ready" for sexual consent. There are many young people out there who are already engaging in sexual activities Before you roll your eyes and move on to the next column, listen. This is not a discussion about where I stand on abortion. Who cares if I'm for it or against it. You have your opinion on the matter as I have mine; there's no changing that so there's really no point in arguing unless to pass the time.

Well it's the opposite with abortion: if there's an age restriction on voting, being able to drink legally and being able to drive a car, then why is it that a girl who makes the decision to start having sex at a young age and gets pregnant is able to have an abortion, no questions asked?

What's even more disturbing is she can do it without telling her parents. Parents have the right to know about any significant activity of their underage children.
