Amadeus: Movie Review


"Amadeus" is the Latin form of Greek Theophilus, which Mozart preferred, although he also answered to Amade, Amadeo, and Gottlieb in French, Italian, and German. In all languages, the name means "beloved of God".
In the beginning of the movie, Antonio Salieri was an old man, who invites the audiences to listen about his life story and how he tried to defeat God through Mozart. Antonio Salieri desired to be a great composer since a child. He prayed God that he will give Him everything if He will grant him this only wish. His dad was dead after a while. Salieri is content with his talent and status in court, until the arrival of an extremely talent musician, who is Wolfgang Amadeus ...

Because Mozart had died like a pauper, his grave had been left unmarked, his body unidentified. In the end of the movie, Salieri realize he was not defeated God, for Mozart's music endures while Salieri's fades into obscurity.
The behavior of Mozart is often portrayed as a childish and unworthy person to be bestowed with such overwhelming genius. Mozart was unfaithful to his wife, Constanza. He became an alcoholic as he became destitute in the movie. But, Mozart know how to behave himself in public as he was learn to be polite courteous, and gentle when he was young.
"Amadeus" is a beautiful movie about Mozart. He was the greatest composer who ever lived. People should learn more about his life and his story.Amadeus
