America is considered a democracy, run by the people for the people. Yet the government of America has become ridiculously strong and is beginning to turn into a police state. The government has its hands in every single aspect of American lives, and the police have grown out of control with power. Our government is supposed to serve the people and try and benefit them, yet instead they control our every move and do whatever they can to get as much money from the American people as possible. This imbalance in power is going to upset the people, causing riots and an increase in crime.

Police have become too strong; they hold much more power than they need. Discrimination and profiling are much more common nowadays; anyone who dresses in a certain style; is of a certain race; or displays icons of certain bands, interests, or opinions are pulled over and thoroughly searched, even without any actual suspicion other than their outward appearance. These people have no chance to deny the search, even though it is a right guaranteed by the US Constitution in the fourth Amendment.
Many police officers now are arrogant and rude. They make no effort to work with many of the people they are arresting; instead they resort to sarcasm and in many cases violence. They no longer protect and serve the people. Police officers are violating peoples' rights without concern. They make assumptions and form opinions of a situation before fully assessing it.
