Purpose

To get a quick, powerful shot on net if a player stops and just takes a shot on net it gives the goalie a chance to set up, however by taking a one timer you are effectively not allowing the goalie to set up and are taking a quicker shot which ultimately results in a better chance to score a goal

Phases

The one timer is very similar to a slap shot other then the fact that the puck is coming toward you instead of it being stationary

First, spread your skates out shoulder width and raise your stick about hip length
