Boa Constrictors Reign Superior to Pythons as House Pets

There are many breeds of snakes that are commonly owned as house pets. At first glance, you might think that any type of snake can be a pet. There are several things considered when owning a pet, just as you might choose a Golden Retriever over a Shih Tzu for your family dog. The two most common choices for a pet snake are unmistakably the python and boa constrictor. able to be handled and easily cared for. Tame snakes are far easier to handle for obvious reasons. Boa constrictors are widely known to be easily tamed and better handled in captivity. They are calmer snakes in general. Pythons on the other hand, take a long time to adapt to their handler and are known as the more aggressive breed. From personal experience, I agree with the herpetological community and would place my trust in a boa constrictor far before a python. All snakes are capable of being unpredictable, but boa constrictors have a clean track record. There have been recent stories in the news of mammoth pythons attacking human babies or little dogs. Never has there been a documented case of human death by a pet boa constrictor.
