"Always do what you are afraid to do." In my mind, taking risks is an imperative part of growing and experiencing challenging things life has to offer. When asked what attribute may distinguish myself from others, I’d have to say my motivation. I have a passion to succeed and work to the best of my ability, staying motivated in everything I begin, do, and plan to do. Being independent and motivated would allow me to contribute my skills to a Rutgers environment as well as benefit from the wide variety of cultures and experiences there.

Serving as a prime example of my desire to perform my best, I take part in various extracurricular activities including track and field, cheerleading, the swim team, as well as KEYSTONE. I challenge myself consistently and stay focused both inside and outside of school. Maintaining a 3.0 GPA has been one of my utmost priorities, and I have thus far done so with hard work and effort. I volunteer at a soup kitchen with my church and coach PAL cheerleaders in my spare time. Being able to multi-task would come in handy in such a rigorous environment as one like Rutgers, and so I hope to learn even more on campus. My skills as a cheerleader will hopefully be able to shine as I plan to tryout if accepted.

Risks to me are challenges I have yet to overcome, but nonetheless will overcome in time. I am a unique individual in that when I set my mind to something, I place all my abilities ...
