Creative Writing: Werewolf

Gregory Lycaon shivered as a slow chill crept across the room. He
could feel his muscles tensing; he clenched his fists and shut his eyes so
tightly they hurt--please, don't let me remember. Gregory slowly opened
his eyes and glanced out the window at the thankfully black, moonless sky.
He tentatively uncurled his fists and began to examine his hands. The long,
thin fingers, which now appeared to be quite elegant, had not or could not
have been responsible for the ghastly scenes that kept recurring in his
nightmares.

Oh, the nightmares! The vivid images of running through the dense
woods, in search of prey. The eerie, unfamiliar noises that seemed to come
from his own throat. The ...

and explores the depths of
the city of Transylvania until he spots a beautiful woman in her late
twenties. He knows this woman, but of course his untamed edacity
overpowers his will to spare her. He advances toward her and prepares
himself for the assault.

In a matter of seconds he is on top of her lashing at her stomach,
unleashing a torrent of fearsome strength. With an uncontrollable rage, he
fastens his incisors, again and again, into the frenzied victim's flesh,
tearing at it like the savage beast he is.

After the moon waned, Gregory was left with memories of that
horrendous night. The wild beast was no longer in him but he knew it would
return when the moon waxed full, and his voracious hunger would return.
And again under the light of the full moon he would become the loathsome
killer he had been the night before.

Gregory knew what he was and knew what he would become again as
soon as the moon was full again. And that thought nearly drove him crazy.
