HYPOTHESIS

My hypothesis was that both girls would act and eat the same because of their social scene in college right now, and that they would be careful as to what their body consumed and how fit they kept themselves. I also thought that both of the males, although coming from two extremely different backgrounds, would be the same as to the amount of exercise and food intake and what was eaten.

In other countries it is considered beautiful to be obese and it is a sign of wealth and class. In the United States, it is the exact opposite. The “hunger” to be thin is what is generally desired and thought to be beautiful. The reasons that females eat less than males is because of a number of reasons. It is more lady-like to eat less, they tend to be embarrassed of what people see them eat and if it is “fattening” or not.
