What popular music is to me

When I hear of grammies, platinum records, and what is top 10 on the billboards I think of popular music and what affects it has on society. Looking back in time you can see the way popular music has influenced and affected society. The music industry has provided a way for the thoughts and feeling of the public to be heard by everyone. In my opinion one of the most apparent examples of this is the protest music from the anti war era during Vietnam. The popular music that appeals to me the most is a mix of reggae, rap, and dub step. The reason that I can’t pick one of these genres to be me favorite is I enjoy them all equally when It the right time for that genre. Giving a situation where I am driving through some traffic trying to get to a doctors appointment that I am late for reggae is the ideal music to manage my stress level. When I am preparing myself for a wrestling match or trying to get through a tough practice I attempt to harness the power of rap music to pump me up. On occasion I enjoy taking in what I would call todays most recent popular music dub step. The main reason that I enjoy dub is the down right fun time that I would call a grantee at a dub step concert. To conclude I will leave you with my definition of popular music.
