My name is Theodor Reimert. My family and I are Jews in hiding. I have a sister named Shiann and two brothers whose names are Tyler and Cody. I have a dad named Eliot and a mom named Naomi. My two grandma's, Carol Reimert and Marie Long, and my grandpa, Butch Long, are living with us.
We have been hiding in the secret basement of my dad's old factory for 1½ years. In the basement there are five bedrooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and a living room. When my dad and I wanted to go out for food the Green Police were outside. We had to go a week without food. My family was starving and my grandma Long almost died. It was the worst time ever. We only had one loaf of bread and two pieces of sausage. We were able to get food by the end of the week.
Then we heard that the Americans were twenty-five miles away and we would be liberated. The next morning there were soldiers in our house.
