Myology is the study of the muscular system. Muscles constitute nearly half of the body' weight.They are the body's primary source of heat. Through absorption, storage, and the use of glucose, it plays a major role in the control of blood glucose levels.
The three types of muscle tissue are skeletal, smooth, and cardiac.. All types convert the chemical energy ATP into the mechanical energy of motion.The function of these muscle groups is movement, stability, control of body openings and passages, and heat production.
