Sally Eisner was born in Poland, in 1922. She and her brother survived the holocaust. Her father was an accountant, and her mother helped her father with their small business. They lived a happy life until it was destroyed by the Nazis.
Sally and her brother were hiding with a Gentile family, who lived and worked on a small farm. One day her brother was outside chopping wood and Sally noticed three horsemen approaching. She ran outside to grab her brother and take him inside. They hid under the bed with many shoes, boots, and other things.
