is a tango ballet. The Milonga is a night ballroom with simple furniture, just hundreds of chairs and spare tables all around the floor. The entire ballet takes place in this setting. Here, Mauro and Celina fall in love, Celina says goodbye to the Tango, and Heaven's doors open to our star-crossed lovers. The story takes place in the late forties. Celina is considered to be one of the best Tango dancers in Buenos Aires. Mauro leads a normal life and forces her to quit the Tango. Celina dies little by little and dies in his arms. I sat on my seat the entire two hours of the show. The choreographing was wonderful. I've seen several ballets over the years, and I was really surprised at how great this was. The lighting and costumes set the mood, the small orchestra set the mood and tone throughout the night, and the acting completed it. I would whole-heartedly recommend this show to anyone, whether they know what the tango is or not. I saw the show with my boyfriend and he had a really hard time following the story line.
