of cherishment. Many a night I would be awakened by slamming of doors and arguments yelling at the top of their lungs about subjects I did not fully understand. I knew my mom and dad didn’t enjoy each other’s company and when they decided to live in separate rooms, I knew my parents weren’t like my other friend’s parents who were happy together. During the early years of about five until now, my mother, twin brother, and my older sister would have our “music nights” where we would put on music, dance around, and have a lot of fun after dinner time. Not once was my father ever a part of it. He would always mysteriously hide away in his room and not join the fun.
