United States Enter War!


Today, we have word that despite earlier decisions, the United States of America has now decided to become part of the Great War. The States had first decided not to become part of the war, saying it was "strictly a European conflict."
The states have entered the war for several reasons. These reasons include: German subs had a policy of warning and allowing passengers to evacuate. However, in 1915 the Lusitania was sunk, killing over 120 Americans. Many Americans were not happy about this at all.
President Wilson took a stronger stance and issued a warning letter. The Germans responded by temporally ceasing submarine welfare.

these two countries. This is due to a recent cartoon that was included when the American newspaper published the German foreign minister, Arthur Zimmermann. The British had gotten the note and passed it on here, to the Americans. This telegram included Zimmermann proposing a deal with Mexico. It was understood that Zimmermann had propose a deal that stated if Mexico would join Germany in the Great War, Mexico would receive a few states. These states included New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, but this was only after a German victory.
That same month Germans sank four of our merchant ships. Thirty-six lives were lost. This was the last straw. On April 2, 1917 President Wilson asked Congress for a declaration of war. President Wilson is now calling upon Americans to help "make the world safe for democracy." The United States of America is now part of the War to End All Wars, The Great War! ...
