Whether our personality is inherent or cultivated by our surroundings has always been a debatable topic. Although some claimed one's characteristics were caused by genetic descent. I contend that it is the environment and experience which accompanied us as we grew up played the most influential part to our personality. In support of this, I will divide our life into three stages, and discuss why these phases are important factors of our personality.

when temptation comes to us. We are now more independent, but it also means we have to carry more responsibility and we have to make decisions on our own. In these intense events into the transition to an adult, some of the most significant traits of our personality were formed. And these components will become our judgement and decisive factors toward the later part of our lives.
At last, we enter the stage of maturity, or adulthood. Though it should be when our personality is stabilized, there are still some events which can often, though sometimes slightly, change our personality. Such as family issues of getting married, having children, taking care of one's own parent, as well as other more general difficulties like deciding a career, facing heavy workload and financial burden. These are all possible variables to our personalities and we shouldn't ignore their importance and their effectiveness to oneself.
