Oedipus

The Greeks considered tragedy the greatest form of literature. Many readers today would agree. Part of the dramatization of a tragedy is caused by the character's tragic flaw. Through analyzing the play Oedipus Rex it is found that Oedipus himself has a tragic flaw. It is for this reason that this play is not an example of fate because Oedipus' actions have a role in developing his demise.
